We were all assembled at the gravel football field in Queenstown this morning for presentation and morning tea. The Western Tasmania car club put on a great week for us. We met up at Les Morleys shed. He is a Zeehan local who has a lot of memorabilia, cars and is the author of quite a few car related books. Morning tea back at the Pit Stop Cafe, or park and spending some time at Shorty's musem, and the West Coast Heritage centre which is in the old Zeehan School of Mines and Metallurgy. A fairly lazy day was had by most travellers. Most caught up on washing and shopping before heading over to Strahan for the public display of the vehicles at Strahan village. Entrants in the rally then headed off to the Strahan golf club for a pretty yummy roast dinner. Most of the crew headed off for a drive to Tullah to see the Wee Georgie wood steam train with all the Tasmanian team on the tour. We had a ride and looked at the timber shop, had morning tea and lunch before heading out. We drove on a not so busy road to Reece dam and around to Zeehan. It was a very interesting varied drive.
