Will's NZ adventures
I have done my first week of work!!
They do things very differently over here....the tests are pretty much the same but the doctors are alot more involved. For some of the tests I do them on my own where as here they have a doctor present!....so I think I might have stepped on his toes abit when I did my first one haha
Apart from that, everyone seems nice...theres 5 technicians in the department - 3 of us do echoes and the other 2 just do the basic ECGs. They want me to carry on doing everything - which I'm happy with and the other new starter to just do echoes. The work load is very casual, with morning AND afternoon tea a norm along with a good half hour break!!
The view out of the office is of mountains and the sea!! and you can see the rain coming over the hills before it hits!
Oh and I had my first earth quake experience!! a little 4.9 i think....but on the 6th floor everything moved and rattled for about 10 seconds! Hopefully not too much of those!
I have found a house to move into!! Its a nice house which has a new kitchen and just been decorated. There is a couple (my age) and 38yr old woman and me. Rent is only $145 a week - half it to get into £!! Which will leave me some extra spending moneys to go on adventures most weekends once I have a car :) I have only met the couple but I had a good chat with them and they seem really nice - so fingers crossed it goes well!
I'm moving in tomorrow!!!
Just told the hotel lady and I have to be out of the room by 10am on a Sunday morning!! They aren't going to like me in my new house already! haha
Oh I've finally been shopping and bagged some bargains!
I got some trainers for work, a pillow, a duvet, some sports shorts, a really fluffy jumper and A WATER PROOF COAT!!! At last! Everything was on offer haha My coat was 60% off is a really good make so should keep me dry!
