Just a quick one...... I HAVE SOME WHEELSSSSS!!!! I had a look around a couple of vehicles in my price range for what i wanted.....either a 4x4 go anywhere sort of thing or a van that I can convert into a camper van and sleep in and go on adventures. So 4x4s were all either beaten up rust buckets with massive V6 petrol engines that would be as reliable as matts mini :P haha I looked at a couple of vans and they were all battered old work vans that had a hard life.... Then I went for a walk and saw a van for sale on the street.....so I phoned him and arranged for a drive...... A Mitsubishi L300 short wheel base 8 seater van, 2.5 tdi engine with 240k kilometers on the clock. I had a good drive and it pulled like a train, braked well, no knocks and wobbled and for a van went well. We stopped and got out and had a good look over it...underneath there was no oil and all the frame/skirts/suspension had no rust what so ever!!!! I check around the windows, under the carpets, the steps everywhere - rust free!!! The two front tyres were not safe though! So i said 'how much are you wanting for it'......'4k its advertised for' he said......after watching the car shows on TV I thoguht I'd give it a go.....'nah, don't think its worth that.....I'll give you 3'.....haha So we settled on $3400, two new tyres and a tank of diesel!!! SCORE!! :D So I just got it home yesterday and washed it tonight and gave it a good going over......It is honestly the cleanest car/van from 1997 you'l ever see.....no rust anywhere, the RX8 had more scratches and rust than this!! The seats inside are spotless! Been for another drive and drives straight, and really well! The gear stick is abit strange - out the side of the steering column?!?! Anyway, I've got big plans for this little mobile :) I've put photos on the blog page so have a look! I hope you all like it and can see the potential as I do! haha Next is to get a bike!!
