Well thats my second week of work done! And I have arm ache from doing echoes. Again the different pace of work is hard - Completely different world! But theres talk of me going over to the large Wellington hospital to do stents and cath lab stuff either once a week or once every 2 weeks - which will be really good! I get on really well with the other lad in the department and everyone seems really nice still!

My house was a VERY good choice! My housemates are awesome and we've had 2 projector film nights now! Need to get a Blu-ray player though and educate them on glorious HD!! My room is finally warming up.....at the start of the week i was sleeping with a wooly hat on! So i went a bought an oil heater....but that was pointless - didn't even take the chill off so I went and exchanged it for a fan heater and I'm nice and toastie now! :) My walls are still bare but I don't think I'm going to bother with making it too nice because I'm hardly in my room and want to save some moneys for adventures! My next mission is getting a car. I think I'm going to get a large car/van so I can drive and sleep in it if I need too! I have been to look and drive a Isuzu Bighorn 4x4 today - the headlines were 1992, V6 3.2 lotus tuned engine (which I don't think he knew it was), 1 years MOT equivalent, 5 months tax, good tyres, 4 doors, interior was immaculate - wanted $2800 (£1400) but I would get him down to $2500. Nice car and get ALOT for the money and I could literally go anywhere and fit loads in the back. My other idea is to get an older Mitsubishi L300 van - theres one I've seen - 2.5 TDI, freshly imported into NZ, years MOT and Tax, nice and large inside so i would rip the seats out and make a bed, bike storage, and kind of make it a camper van! - and it would look awesome! - he wants $3500 (£1750) but again I think I could get him down! Big decision to be made!! I've planned my first trip - hopefully next weekend if I manage to get a car this week - I'm going to go and see the 'glow worm caves' and climb into caves and raft down the tunnels!! Its about 5hours drive away so I'd leave straight from work on friday and sleep in my new creation or find a hotel! I'm not going to do much this weekend - apart from research for cars and chill with my house mates. The weather is really nice here again, if this is winter I can't wait for summer!! The South island has got lots of snow now - I can just see the top of a snowy mountain across the bay! So I think a flight over in the next month is definitely needed!! I need to sweet talk the boss to let me have a friday/monday off to make a good few days trip down there! There is a mountain on this island too for skiing - about 6/7 hour drive away so I could head there as well once I have some wheels sorted :) I've put some photos of my house and room up on the blog albums :) Toodleoo!
