So I've finally got over the jet lag - I've been waking up at 2am here and not being able to sleep but I slept through till 6 this morning which was much better!! I went into work on Thursday to meet everyone. There is only 5 physiologists, 1 echo room, 1 exercise room and 2 ECG rooms - so its a completely different world! Everyone seems nice and the ward is nice and relaxed! I had to have a blood test and a vaccination :( But the woman gave me a lolly - score!! I went on a train ride to Wellington city on Friday. The trains are splotless and only cost be about £2 each way! I walked completely the wrong way for about an hour but I saw the full city because of it! I went around the museum which was good because I'm full up to date on the culture now! Everyone was is really happy and smiley and it seems like everyone has alot of money with flash cars. I went to view a house yesterday - a 2bed house with a man. I got the impression the lad was my age - but I turned up and he must have been in his 40's going through a mid life crisis!....He didn't have a job, had a MASSIVE TV and a jet ski and hundreds of empty beer bottles. Very nice house but not the right person to share with I think!!!! I did plan to catch the train to his house but the trains don't run on weekends its turns out - so it turned into an hour long walk! After the house viewing I had contacted a football team and went to see them play. Very good team! And I've been invited to training on Tues and Thurs. I haven't got any football boots or kit though so I might have to wait a week or two before I can go! Oh and I also had my lunch sitting on the beach looking over at Wellington city and the mountains! I'm viewing another house share today - seems abit more promising with 3 people sharing and I know one of them is my age! But we will see. I start work tomorrow - well I think its a paperwork day! But theres someone else starting too so I'm not alone! I really want a bike and car! Once I've sorted out my money transfer I'll get both quite quickly....because everything is further than a walk away and the fact that the trains don't run on weekends really messes my plans up! I think thats all thats happened so far - but I'll be moving into a house one way or another next weekend and probably get a car so will be an exciting week :)
