We are Sailing
We left Pomena early afternoon for Lumbarda. This was to be a quick stopover on our way to Palmizana. We needed to seek a birth in the Marina, as further storms were forecast. Jo phoned in ahead to book the 2 boats in. We were fortunate to get a mooring.
We arrived at Lumbarda on time, and it seems we had indeed got the last two moorings. They were at the very end of the mariner. This would serve as good protection from the storm.
But there was a downside; We were moored opposite a fishing boat, and we all know how the captain loves fish! I must day every now and then you would get the smell of very dead fish.
We couldn't complain other boats were being turned back, and a storm was looming.
It was very wet and cold, so it was decided to have tea on the boat. Roz and Jo went down town in the rain and did the required shopping.
We all settled in to the warmth of the boat, and ate this sensational meal the girls had prepared. We all had an early night, and we went to bed listening to the thunder and seeing the lightning flash through the portholes.
Hopefully the weather will be kind tomorrow and we can make a good start to Palmizana.
