We are Sailing
Today, we were to leave for Palmizana, a place we had already visited on the trip to Dubrovnik. We just needed the weather to work in our favour.
We all rose pretty early in the morning, and made use of the good facilities this marina provided. The town provides some decent eating places, so we made a move to find a good breakfast. At breakfast we had made the decision to move on, the weather was looking good. About 2 1/2 hours and we should be in Palmizana.
Again the journey was very straight forward, but when we radioed in we were advised there was no room in Palmizana, as it was full. People were mooring because of the storms. A decision was made to roly poly bay, aptly named by Brian and Dianne's previous crews because of the way the boats are moored, and if the winds come in the will roll from side to side. Dianne text Heather to advise her of the change in plan.
We arrived at roly poly bay on time, and the other boat had already tied up. Lucky for us Ray Ray offered to tie our stern lines for us to the rocks, and we anchored the front of the boat. Because we were off shore we needed the rubber dinghy to get everybody onshore. We had not used it before, but lets say it wasn't the best dinghy around. We went to inflate it, and the pump they gave us, had a hole in it. We managed to repair that. But then the dinghy would not inflate very well, in fact it was rather limp. (I won't go there) It had to do, we put the motor on it, and did what we could to make it work.
Both boats decided to go to the shore to the same restaurant we visited on the way through earlier. Again we chose to have the same dish (chableau melzini?) a mixture of beautifully cooked meat sliced thickly, and vegetables. Superb. The house reds were good. It ended up another great evening.
The next day we were to make our way up to another small town called ???
