Den on the loose
NZ Day Thirty-Three WOOO-HOO!!! Beach Day today!!! Today it was beach day at Hot Water Beach and after my awesome driving skills which came into play as we hit some very windy roads on the way and let me tell you the amount of corners we came across it was just too many to count. Regardless i digress, we finally got to the beach and before going into the sea we tried digging oursleves a hole to sample the hot water but it was to no avail as you had to be in a specific spot. But i did manage to stick my foot in somebody's pool and near burnt my foot off as the water was soooo hot. After getting my foot scolded we all headed to the sea and we caught some some waves on the ol' body board and after so many hours out in the sea we headed back to the car. BUT!!!! On the way back to the said car, Mark and I spotted some lifeguard saving devices which can only mean one thing. Yep you guessed it, run throught the waves like 'Mitch' i.e. The Hoff from Baywatch. It was so convincing that at one point when we were standing there looking out to sea an American couple came up to us and and asked about when the tides were going to come in and where the hot water pools are and basically questions that only a lifeguard would know about the area. So that was fun someone thinking i was a lifeguard, i could add that to my C.V. now i reckon. Well after that charade we headed to Catherdral cove and walked down to Gemstone Bay before heading to our hostel.
