Den on the loose
NZ Day Twenty-Five
Today we arrived at the River Valley Lodge after our 30 min drive from the town of Tahipe, the lodge itself is very much secluded and out in the sticks. After settling in we went on a trek near the lodge and this is where i fell into the rocks and water in trying to find Mark as he wandered off.
A jump in the river was on the cards after our trek and it was mighty cold as we froze our nads off from the icy water. But after a couple of times i climatised to it and was throughly enjoying it while Mark and Tim stood from the edge laughing at me.
Roast beef all you can eat was for dinner but i was denied this so called "All you can eat" as i just had finished my second plate and told the girls serving up the food i'd be up in a second for my third plate. The girls ad took all the food away and started packing up and all the staff were rushing around so they could get to a BBQ party.
So by the time it reached 7.15pm al the staff had left us at the lodge with nothing to do, that night i didnt get much sleep as Carlos the bartender had left a playlist on a computer playing music all night.
It wasnt until 4.30am that morning that Mark and I left our dorm looking for another room away from the god awful music pumping out loud and luckily we were rewarded for ur efforts with an empty room.
The River Valley Lodge is the s-h-i-t-t-i-e-s-t place i have stayed with very poor service and also some git stole my bottle of white wine.
