Hello to the eyeballs that are reading this,
Finally…it has been a while that we slept in a room with AC. We definitely enjoyed our cool and dry sleep… We were shocked that our hotel provided a fancy breakfast; the breakfast included omelets, donuts, bacon, pancakes, and etc.! It was a truly first class experience! We ate until our stomachs were full of "first class" food. We were shocked by the news that we will visit La Paz version of TAD's offices. We were happy about it because we can meet more new deaf friends!
As we arrived the headquarter, we were so exhausted because we had to walk uphill on the tall side of mountain in thin air. We were heartbroken when we heard the news that the deaf organization really needs some support to resume their daily deaf activities. They don't get any support from their government and the organization is trying hard to get some support and help from government. After the visit, we went to General Cemeteries; it is a cemetery for Bolivians. Approximately over a million of people are buried there. The total square mile of cemetery is 1.5 miles. Yeah, General Cemeteries is that big! We heard three interesting stories of three ghosts in cemetery, if you want to hear/see it then watch our vlog!
After the Cemeteries, we went to the Witches' market, where we literally spent half of our savings…It may sound bad but it was really worth it, we got so much cool stuff! We also saw a few cool market stands that sell llama fetuses, dead frogs, and some voodoo stuff! Ill admit that it was very temping to buy those stuffs, but nah, I don't want to give TSA security a heart attack if I brought it to the airport. Bummer, I guess…anyways, we spent over three hours there; we also ate our lunch there. We ate llama meat as lunch; some of us thought it was delicious while others thought otherwise. After the lunch, we resumed our shopping at the Witches' market for a brief time.
After we ended our shopping, we walked back to our hotel; it was a just 15 minutes of walk. As we arrived the hotel, we had only 20 minutes to prepare for other 20 minutes walk to Calle Jaén street. When we arrived, we literally spent over an hour to take pictures. The reason behind an hour of pictures was houses at Calle Jaén street were very colorful. So as the result of colorful houses, most of us got excited and took over a thousand pictures there. After that, we went back to hotel and enjoyed our night swimming in hotel's pool and hot spa!
See ya'll later, Jack
