Monday 22nd October
Today we decided to do our last trip in Borneo. Although we saw the Orang utans in Sepilok, Sabah, we was not happy with the pictures and the hotel in Kuching we was staying in did their own trip to Semenggoh Orang Utan Forest Reserve.
We arrived at the park for the 9pm feeding where it's common that the Orang utans come on to the feeding platform and you get to take a photo of them. When we arrived at the car park there was a Mother (Sudakan) and baby playing in the trees and didn't seemed at all phased by the people arriving we stood for ages watching them and they were so entertaining, then they decided to go for walk to the other side of the park. Baby hitched up on Mum!s back and off they went, Lee desperately tried to take a photo of me next to them as they walked past but the warden moved us out the way. We followed them through the forest until they reached the feeding platform, we stood there for about another 10 minutes when a big male appeared and he was the same not shy and entertained us greatly. It was just wonderful cant explain how seeing this magnificent animal can make you feel so emotional but I just wanted to cry I was so excited about them being so close to us. Sadly our hour was up (that was all the time we was give ) and we had to return to the van. I couldn't wait to see the photos and was as nagging Lee to let me see them, NO he said wait until we get back to the room and we can see them together on the computer.
So that was it our last trip in Borneo and the last of our blogging for a while as from Thursday we will be in Australia. ,We can't believe the time has come around so quickly. By the time we finish visiting Australia and New Zealand it will be mid December. Flippen heck where has the time gone.
