We was woken about midnight by another massive storm. We was on the 8th floor and with each crack of lightening our room shook. The storm lasted about an hour then we got some sleep eventually. Woke very excited
Knowing we was off Singpore and meeting a good friend from home.
The taxi driver that dropped us off the evening before we had arranged for him to pick us up 10am to take us back to the bus station but he did not turn up. Thought we was doing him a favour by offering him a fare so panicking we had to order another taxi and we only had about 15 minutes to get to BS. When the taxi driver arrived he was 80 and was so slow just turning the car around, we got and said you need to drive very fast to the BS, how long does it take, 15 minutes he replied, oh god no we was going to miss the bus to Singapore and the next bus wasn't until 10.30. As it turned out the BS was only about a 5 min drive so we got there in plenty time.
Again Mr Darcy kept me entertained for the 7 hour bus journey and we arrived in Singapore about 5.30pm

Sue Thurston I remember when we were in Malaysia, the storms were awful couldn't believe how the rain came down, watched a guy on a moped being washed away off the road, scary.
