Eden Park feels like it is our home ground already. Roll on S4C.
Locals very friendly, chatted for ages with one of guys in fan-zone. He lives in Auckland and only started today working in dock area - they are obviously planning for a very big night on Sunday. The fan-zone by us is always busy as are the streets around with street theatre, loads of people etc. It was full for NZ semi and people directed to a new area, Sunday promises to be even busier.
Locals are supporting Wales and there are a lot of Welsh fans here as well. Expected decent numbers for Australia, so should be noisy tonight.
We saw a young guy from Exeter Chiefs today during another game of table tennis. He has just left juniors there as he is going to school in Taunton - Queens, not Kings. He sounds like as keen on playing as Callum.
Back to Eden Park, not the thrilling game expected, but good to see Wales score at end. Aussies win at Eden Park for first time in last 25 years, not much consolation though as not against AB's.
Chatting to guy in beer queue who comes from St Mawes, played for Truro and knows Iain Deacon. Who said it is a small world . . .
