Journey home half over if you ignore the 5 hour train journey. Would be nice to see someone more of LA than just the inside of the airport. But good to be heading home, it seems like we have been away for a month.
Dad slept first 10 hours of flight, woke just in time for breakfast. I slept less as had distractions of TV and drinks!
The transit procedures are mad, we are only off the plane to refuel and in a secure holding area - yet they insist on finger prints for each hand, thumb prints and photo. Oh and dad tells me there's a $14 process charge. All the officials doing there job at a very leisurely pace and not sure if some know what they are doing. "go through desks upstairs", "try the ones downstairs", "give me your transit card", where is your transit card, cannot process you without it". Someone will tell us shortly this is all a spoof!
Dad reckons USA are doing this to add us as friends on Facebook.
PS spot the famous rugby player in photo. He is travelling in economy as well, but then he is with his wife and 6 kids.
