Day 205, 3 Jan '15, Enniscorthy Opshops & Pub Investigations. We drove into town this morning for groceries and a general jaunt. Purpose of the visit was checking out a couple of possible dinner venues for James's 50th. Ventured to Treacy's Hotel on the far side of the river. Brilliant stuff. Ended up in the Temple Bar supping an ale and a cider and perusing 3 separate menus for their various restaurants. Definitely the right spot. We are both against paying retail for absolutely anything (food, travel, anything) - but definitely clothes. We're so hard on our gear that when things fall apart, we restock at the local second-hand boutiques... and in Enniscorthy, we are spoiled for choice - there are 8 charity shops of one stripe or another. Can't believe the regular retail shops sell anything. Anyway, a few choice items were secured, Joan replenished her shoe and jacket wardrobe and then we headed back to the carpark. Oh my god - everything €1 at Vincent's!!! More shoes, a new jacket for James, assorted jewellery treats. Just. Too. Much. Fun.
