On the 33rd day of my pilgrimage I attended Mass in the Cathedral, joined by so many others that I had shared this journey. It was a joyous occasion. The sight of seeing the giant incense burner being swung from side to side in front of the magnificent alter. The hairs on the back if my neck stood stiff and my eyes welled with tears. Why it had this effect I will never know but it was a moment to savour and share with those closest to me on this Camino.
