Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening
Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Having spend a few days now walking the boreens of Galicia in Spain I am reminded of one of my favourite poems which I have added above.
Wifi has been very scarce over the past few days and as I am beginning to meet more and more of the people that I started this pilgrimage in St Jean the blog has suffered.
As I was reminded by a walking companion - 'f*** the blog' and while it was said in jest and we laughed it was also so true. So today I'm on catch up of the past few days!
Today was a 28km walk with Anny Sandra and we enjoyed a 'French sisters' day - more about that in my own journal. But we had lots of fun and some serious belly laughs!
But we had some very serious moments as well. I had forgotten what the foot 'healer' had told me to help ease the pains in my feet and ankles - 'walk backwards' for about 10 minutes every day. So I began to do this - it's effect was very powerful! I'm not sure how effective it was physically. But the imaginary of walking backwards while still moving forward was very enlightening! We spoke at length about this and I felt I had broken down some barriers that up to now seemed to high to overcome!! Lots of more processing done, more to do!
