Day 76: Whale Watching

We saw whales today! Micaela and Ethan thought it was fantastic, Brandon got a little bored after the first couple.

The whales were plentiful and we were fortunate to see a few of them frolicking together, however they weren't curious and therefore did not come alongside the boat as I had hoped. Never mind, they did come close and we were fortunate to encounter a curious dolphin that followed the boat.

On the return trip the captain permitted the kids to have a turn each to steer the boat. Brandon was first up but got scared when he realised he was responsible for steering the boat. After watching Micaela and Ethan he was confident enough to have another go.

All in all, we had a fun day together and we're looking forward to trip our to Fraser Island tomorrow.
