So as you can see from the panorama photo above I did go up St christobal mountain. It was worth it but I think I was lucky there was starting to be mutiny among the passengers on the bus as I arrived. They had been sitting there for 40 minutes, some of them. This does not surprise me as I knew if you were charging less then $2 a person for an hour tour the bus would not be leaving unless it was full. Anyway one old fella was getting quite narely in English at the woman that only spoke Spanish. After a while I noticed he had part of his ear cut off. It struck me as not surprising if a little bit biblical.
Anyway the view from the top was good. I got a good view of the bull ring and the bad barrios so I will not bother treading there. The road up was pretty crazy the bus was barely making the turns and parts of it were one lane. People literally had to jump into door ways so the bus could pass them in the streets.
After that I drifted around downtown some more. I took in the central market this time while it was in full swing. I even bought some bananas, some Brazil nuts and an avocado to have for supper and breakfast. I only bought a chicken sandwich for supper partly due to a large lunch partly due to the fruit. The avocados are amazing here. I'm not sure if I will be able to eat them in Canada again.
After that I walk the 1 or more hours back to the condo and am having an early night of inka cola and reading by my 17th story window Ina comfy couch.
