Kate returned to Brussels for a weekend to say goodbye to her dear friends & catch up with Amelie, meet her boyfriend Alex, & catch up with my little Belgian sister Emilie who I missed out on seeing last time.

Amelie & I spent a lazy day chatting & catching up on all the news& then getting food ready for the party & then wandered through the Grand Place to see the Christmas Markets & get a proper belgian waffle!

Amelie had a little party at her place for me to catch up with some old friends I hadn't seen for 10 years and all my other Belgians.t Peter's presence was felt through his Chimay Blanche beer shout for the boys! We then headed out to a Soiree ( what would a reunion in Belgium be without one!!) which was in an old empty school building in Brussels, it was HUGE with about 6 different rooms with completely different music styles in it. I ended up dancing at 3.30am with Fanny, Amelie, Emilie & Arnauld to the good old Belgian Soiree classics surrounded with a few belgians dancing on the tables..... good to see some things never change! :-)

after a slow recovery the next day Amelie & I headed over to the Chateau for some Crepes & a tearful goodbye with Simon, Fanny, & Vincent, before hasgeading off the following morning back to Glasgow after yet another sad goodbye to Amelie & Alex.

It was a fantastic weekend, and I look forward to the next time we meet again xx
