thankyou to all my dear belgian friends and old host families for such a fantastic time in belgium.

it was so wonderful to see you all again, and for you to meet peter and to show him around and your belgian hospitality was certainly the hightlight!! we cant wait to see you all again in december.

spending time with my dear friends, whether it was enjoying a meal with you at your place, or some beers in a local cafe!

speaking french again after 7 years!!

simon%uFFFDs interactive tour of brussels it was so fun going to lots of cool local areas and we loved st gilles and especially the cool bars and history lessons simon!!

hearing fanny%uFFFDs jazz cd in the making- watch this space guys her voice is so gorgeous and i am so proud of her!!

visiting a local legendary cafe in st gilles with over 200 beers.. peter fell in love with chimay blanche but we got to try some really cool beers from all over belgium.

enjoying a night chez sans souci ( where 5 of my friends live in a st in brussels called sans souci ( which translates to "without worries") they have set up a fully funtioning ( just maybe not 100% legal!!) bar in their basement called the sans souci social club and they open it up to their friends and also use it as a venue for them to perform and enjoy each others musical talents and invite other musicans to come and play, we had such a fun night there with everyone.

a very special night in aubel chez beriaux seeing everyone and laughing over some memories from 10 years ago. i love you all so much and am so glad that you have met peter and that we can enjoy each others company so much each time we see each other even if it is so long between visits!

Would you believe..

poidda decided at about 3.30 on morning after lots of beers and fun to join simon, arnauld and jean in a triathlon in eupen ( near aubel) later that day which involved a 700m swim, a 22km bike ride and a 7km run. thanks to the boys for organising all his gear for him he had a great time and i was so proud of him! clearly he isnt too old after all eh? another bonus was the triathlon t shirt as given our clothes still havent arrived after shipping them 3 mths ago it will come in handy!!

look out for a belgian band called girls in hawaii- they are v cool, and the singer antoinne is one of simons flatmates, he is such a sweet guy and i believe he is a bit of a rock star in belgium!

cant wait to see you all again in decembre and see amelie and emilie too!
