Today was very, very relaxed so i don't really have all that much to tell but I won't let that stop me.
After waking up feeling slightly hung over we got ourselves ready to face the day. Just as we we about to leave there was a knock on the door. I got very excited thinking it might be Chantal to do our hair and make up and we could do it all over again. Just as exciting however it was the beautiful Patrick, our marriage officer, who had been running around since 7:30 that morning to the registrars office and the high court to have our marriage certificates organised. So we are now in possession of the official certificates. There's no backing out now and no cooling off period it would seem.
After our lovely visitor we packed ourselves off to the Castle of Good Hope which is the oldest building in Cape Town and took a wander through there. It was a very quick wander though. It's full of information on the Boer - Anglo war and military stuff. Not really our cup of tea. Speaking of tea ..... high tea anyone ?!
Don't mind if we do. We spent a solid 3 hours soaking up the sunshine at the posh Mount Nelson Hotel having high tea and ate until we were about to bust or fall into a diabetic coma which ever comes first.
So that was it. The first day of our married life we spent eating until we could barely walk. Sign of things to come maybe?!
Weather report, absolutely stunning today. Sunshine and 20 degrees. Nowhere near the wind we had yesterday and a lovely orange blue sunset. Can you believe it?!!!
