This morning we packed and got on the bus to leave Granada and make our way back to Madrid,it was really sad to know it was our last day. As was always the case with the tours I'd been on I'd met some really cool people who I'd shared some great times with.
We didn't go directly to Madrid, with two stops on the way,Consuegra was our first for a group photo.
We drove through the towns narrow streets and went up to these old style windmills that over looked the town. We got some pics in front of the windmill then got our group photos. Everyone on our tour handed our poor tour guide their camera, but it was a funny to see her with around 25 camera around her arms and having to slowly take photo after photo on each camera.
Next we moved onto the town of Toledo. It had cobble stone streets, and many of its shops featured hand crafted swords and knives,it is also famous for its marzipan.
Emma and I strolled around the shops and I once again saw some amazing jewelry. We went and had a look inside a famous cathedral featuring significant arts by el Greco.
We then all met as a group to get back on the bus to sadly head back to Madrid.
We arrived back at equity point hostel where I'd stayed before the tour But gained a few more friends this time. We were going out for our last group outing to have Pinchos for dinner. Pinchos is where you have small amounts of different types of food you can pick from kinda like a sushi train and you stand at the counter and eat it. So I could get things like small serving of omlette or a cheesy croquet. After dinner Emma and I went across the road to this homemade cookie shop,it was amazing! I had one that came straight out of the oven and was still soft and the choc bits melted mmmm.
I somehow got convinced by a few people on my tour to go on the pub crawl that goes from our hostel every Saturday night.
I got far more drunk then planned but managed to have enough sense to call it quits at 2/2.30am as I was dreading getting up early to go to the airport.
Over and out xx
