Millie and I woke up fairly early so we could finishing packing and catch the metro with enough time to get to our bus back to Madrid.
We got onto the comfiest bus I'd ever been on and it had wifi! Winning!
We had 2 seats on the back seat so we sat and hoped no one else would cone sit next to us so we could spread out.
No such luck a Aussie surfer looking guy stumbled up to us reeking of stale alcohol and as soon as he started talking to us it was apparent he probably only stopped drinking in the last hour. However he was highly entertaining so it wasn't such a loss.
When we hit off the bus I said goodbye to Millie as she was off back to London and I caught a cab to my hostel. I was exhausted so I crawled into my bed as soon as I got into my room.
Later that afternoon my room mate came back to the room and introduces herself as Merle and was a really lovely German girl. She had just been looking around for permanent accommodation as she moved here to work in Madrid. She offered for me to tag along with her later on to an Irish pub where she was meeting some Aussies she'd met in the hostel so I happily agreed to come.
That night we went to the Irish pub which was pretty cool but weird being in Spain and I met a whole bunch of Aussies to of the girls were going to be on the same tour as me the next day so it was a relief to have some familiar faces before I got onto the tour bus.
I was feeling really flat and tired and there was a soccer match on the tv so the Spaniards were going crazy and being really loud so I excused myself and said bye to everyone and headed to bed.
Merle had suggested when I came back to Madrid next saturday we catch up as she'd have a place to live by then do that was really nice.
Started my iberian busabout tour in the morning which would be good to see more of Spain.
Over and out xx
