Not my best day. The sight of a man holding up a roller and a sign reading 'painter', in the same place as he was yesterday, reminded me that there is 46% unemployment. People do beg. There is a huge gap between our standard of living and that of most of the population. But African craft stalls are full of the same old tat - why would I want that? And it can't be my role to solve all these problems... I went into a decline, not helped by its' being a hot and humid day, hotter than I can cope with. The pic is Swaziland, from weeks ago - but it shows how most people live in the country. It feel intrusive to photograph humble shacks and homes...
