So what I didnt mention in my last post was, after spending the day taking in more local history, on my walk home from subway I managed to stumble across a market! (how do these things happen to me!) As you can see from my photos, it was set in an empty church and was a sale of local artisans work. I was very restrained and bought only a fairy for my christmas tree... Mostly because the ornaments I liked the look of cost between £150 and £200! I am a student lets not forget!!
What I also didnt mention in my last post was the fact that the one and only pair of sensible shoes that I brought with me here have in fact got a hole in the sole ... needless to say that with the apocalyptic amount of rain that we are having here, I had to throw them out... So now I am back to a total sum of sensible shoes of zero!
Whilst I have already now got more new shoes than those I bought with me... Still nothing I can really wear when I am half expecting to see Noah floating past on my way to Uni.
I am doing my best to find some sensible-ish shoes by shopping almost everyday but so far I have ended up with:
A new handbag; a sparkly evening coat; a few jumpers; some tops; a pair of jeans; some suede ballet flats (and maybe a few other pairs of flat shoes..); and some socks.
But I will perserve with the shops here and have also decided to go to Cornwall for the half term holiday so my search continues...
A la prochaine!

p.s. so as not to miss out on any type of shopping, tomorrow I am going to "Marche aux Puces", a large one-off flea market in Caen ... I think I am an addict
