So on Sunday the family B went to Paris so I had a day all to myself.

The picture (and sorry I cant turn it ) is the view from my window when I wake up! It is the Abbey aux Hommes where I went to Mass... brownie points... didn't really understand a word though haha!

I then went to a market in the centre of town (shopping on the first day cant be bad!). Then found a boulangerie and ate lunch in the Jardins de Plantes which is like a small, free, not as good Kew Gardens.

I then toured around on Mrs B's bicycle trying to cycle on the right and not get run down - not easy when the french dont seem to bother with traffic lights! I subsequently thought I may have broken said bicycle but Mrs B has since been out on it and not said anything so I guess it is alright... alternatively she will try to poison my breakfast.

Sunday night met with some other Guernsey students and drank beer and ate a tartiflette - just loads of cheese and beer so all in all a good first day.
