So today was the final day of our two week intense language course and it could not have ended better/worse... As I think I may have earlier pointed out it has been HARD work and the attendees have been dropping like flies. Quite fitting therefore that for this final morning I had two classes all alone! Just me! No-one else! On my tod!

Last night some of us went out - for dinner - which then turned into drinks...

Now whilst I may overindulge on food (and boy did I last night - my own dinner, half of Sharons's and how could I say no to profiteroles!!) I am not really one to overindulge on alcohol. I got in at a fairly respectable 1.30am.

It turns out the others stayed out til 3.30am in some grotty pub and ended up taking a mammoth taxi tour around Caen, one trying to unlock the neighbours door and another forgetting the code to her building. Needless to say I was the only one who dragged myself out of bed to head into uni for an 8.30 start! I have now earned myself the nickname of swot - Mum you will be suitably impressed I am sure!

Second lesson of the day was with our teacher who earned himself the nickname of double denim and talks about s*x at every opportunity, or even when there is no opportunity and he leaves you wondering how on earth we end up learning the vocabulary for the back seat of a car... Needless to say I was hesitant to have a one on one with him and prayed the others would turn up... they didnt. Luckily I managed to get away with only one reference to viagra "vous connaissez ce mot?" (trans "you know this word?") yes I bloody know this word! I like to think I met this reference with a steely gaze and he stopped, but I think it was more likely due to the fact that I do not resemble his favourtite petite german student that the rest of the lesson passed without incident.

Finally finished lessons tonight 7pm and have a day of law lectures tomorrow so early to bed tonight!
