i have spent this last week at Rekero Kidogo camp. we had a serious storm on wednesday with amazing forked lightning - it was like a tree moving across the sky, i've never seen anything like it. on thursday night a hyena came to camp and caused havoc. it chewed the carpet in the mess, ate the candles, raided the staff quarters and kitchen breaking plates,glasses etc, ate some food and drank some cooking oil!

my flight to nairobi today was changed to the afternoon so i was stranded at the airstrip and then rescued by Mara Intrepids so i spent the day there.
