Stefanie's Travel Journal
Today was my last day in Thailand. I had a very enjoyable day. I slept in a little. Went running for the last time in Lumphini Park. I had lunch and then headed out for a Thai massage. This was my first Thai massage but I thought the place that was recommended was very good.
This was a traditional Thai massage so they have you change into what I refer to as pajamas (I'm sure they have a better name) and then they wash your feet. Then the massage starts. Its a little painful as the idea seems to be deep pressure but it was very effective at getting out some knots in my back and neck. And then the massage ends with some hot tea. Very nice. And like everything in Thailand it was amazingly inexpensive by western standards. About $15 for the hour. Amazing.
I spent a leisurely afternoon resting by the pool. Then I went to the Night Market for one more dinner and shopping round.
Now I'm packing up and heading out before sunrise tomorrow.
I leave on the next leg of my adventure around September 12th but internet connectivity will probably be a lot less available on that journey so don't look for updates quite as often. Thanks for following along so far. I hope to see and talk to many of you while I'm home. I'm looking forward to relaxing at home, playing Ultimate, going to Chilis with the boys on Friday, and mostly visiting with you all. See you all soon!
