Tuesday 6th March: (sorry we're running out of pictures!)
Have to say, thank goodness for the resolve this morning definatley needed it.
Afer downing a glass of that, we headed for Manly beach. We got a bus to the harbour and then a ferry across to the beach. We bought a transport pass for the day to save cash and were going to make the most of it by going on as much transport as possible! Saw aboriginals playing the didgeridoo (sorry about spelling you know what we mean) and another guy hopping pretending to be a kangaroo. Quite strange so headed straight past and boarded the boat. Nice trip but as you can imagine, a rocking boat is not the best cure for a hangover to say the least.
There was a massive 'Saga Cruise Boat' docked at the harbour and so quite a few elderly people were on the boat which made us chuckle. Got over to Manly and had lunch, cereal and cup-a-soup not really lasting us out. Spent the afternoon on the beach, it was beautiful, watching the surfers but not quite as nice as the lifeguards. It was such a nice beach though, very peaceful but still think we prefer Bondi.
We looked round the shops on the way back to the ferry and got a delicious ice cream. The journey home was very long as it was rush hour and the buses were packed. Everyone in suits and us sticking out like sore thumbs in our bikinis and beachwear!
Had a rest when we got home and decided to go to the cinema for the evening. We saw 'The Illusionist', such a good film, another one we would definately reccommend. Had to wait about an hour for the bus home but we were determined to use our transport pass to it's full advantage. Crashed out when we got in as were very exhausted. Booking our Sydney bridge walk in the morning and moving hostels to one in the city.
