Thursday 1st March: (One month gone already!)
By the way, giving up chips hasn't worked!
Left Milla's in the morning to catch our train to Sydney. Andre gave us a lift and Soph had the joy of Donny the dog and his rather over sized testicles on her lap much to Em's amusement in the back!
Train journey was 12 hours but went quicker than we thought. Em volunteered to go to the food carraige for lunch and bought back a sausage roll and vegetable pastie (or carrot bake as Soph called it) Em explained it was a 20 minute wait for something nicer and with only 10 hours to go didn't want to wait!
We met a really nice guy on the train called Fray who was from Canada and probably going to meet up with him in Sydney. Had a delicious Hungry Jacks for dinner as it was the only thing open. Got the underground to Bondi junction and met another guy called Gareth from England who was staying at the same hostel as us - 'Bondi Beachouse' and so we shared a taxi there with him. Shared our first night in the room with two really nice Swedish girls about our age.
Friday 2nd March:
Had such a nice day today and decided Bondi beach is one of the best places in the world. This hostel wasn't the nicest as a bit small and not as clean as the others but the location was amazing - only a 5 minute walk to Bondi beach! Had nice lie in as hadn't slept in a comfortable bed for ages.
We walked down to the beach but took the wrong route (geoghraphy never was our strong point) and endd up walking along the cliffs and the steepest hills, but My God was it worth it, the views were incredible....and not only of the scenery! (come to that in a minute)
Went for breakfast in really nice Cafe called 'Mojito'. The best full english we've ever had. Bought some postcards so they'll be on their way soon then headed for the beach.
It is so beautiful we can't even explain, clear seas, white sand and the lifeguards....oh my goodness!!! One was wearing little black pants with lifeguard written on the back going for a run along the beach (not that we were taking much notice or anything!) and every guy had the most amazing bodies, tanned and six packs wherever you looked. Ladies, it was heaven! We won't mention all the gorgeous girls that came with them! We walked past one area just off the beach and there was about 10 guys all exercising - exercise is really big over here, so many people doing it - not including us of course.
Went for a dip in Bondi public swimming pool, it is located basically in the sea with waves crashing over the side of it - best to google this as can't really describe how amazing and cool it is. Found $5 in the pool so used this to have a drink in the private members bar with a great view of the pool and the beach.
Went out for dinner and saw Gareth at the restaurant and all went out for a few (which turned into a lot) drinks. Staggered back to the hostel and crashed out.
