We've loved Munich, it's like Berlin's glamerous grown up big sister. We're staying near the famous English gardens, so we've enjoyed some time in the famous beer gardens lapping up the generous steins. About half an hour north east of Nurenburg is the very small town of Hersbruck. We only have a couple of nights here to break up the drive from Berlin to Munich, but it has been an enjoyable stay. The weather has been atrocious so that put an end to the bikeriding / walking plans, so we spent some time in Nurenburg. We have walked our legs off here. The sunshine is back and you could spend weeks in this city and not scratch the surface of its deep and complex history.
