About half an hour north east of Nurenburg is the very small town of Hersbruck. We only have a couple of nights here to break up the drive from Berlin to Munich, but it has been an enjoyable stay.
The weather has been atrocious so that put an end to the bikeriding / walking plans, so we spent some time in Nurenburg. Of course a very significant place in the German history books, but on this occasion we mostly walked around the town taking in the very beautiful setting on the canals and boutique shops. When the skies opened again we headed back to our shelter in Hersbruck.
It has taken a week in Germany to correctly adjust our food orders to avoid being served a collosal mountain of meat, potato, sauce and kraut that would satisfy a small community. Of course the steins of very good beer assist in getting through it!
