We have walked our legs off here. The sunshine is back and you could spend weeks in this city and not scratch the surface of its deep and complex history. We took a walking tour last time we were here and went back for more yesterday. We've also taken in the SS and Gastapo mesum, Jewish musuem, Pergamon museum, Savlidor Dali exhibition, numerous beer gardens and walks through Tiergarten.
We also went to a highly recommended Tepenyaki restaurant here (for those that don't know, Tepanyaki is where they grill your dinner at your table). We had a sumo-sized Tepanyaki chef who was friendly enough. Midway through cooking our food, he turned away to sneeze into a nearby handkerchief. Nothing wrong with that. He's only human. What was of most concern was that some of his "sneeze" was now hanging from about his third chin. Hanging. Precariously hanging. Will it land in Sarahjane's chicken or Andrew's duck? Hanging. We kept turning away hoping that when we turned back, it was still lodged and hadn't taken the leap into the sizzling spring onions 20 inches below. Mercifully, the "sneeze" kept its position until we had our dinner firmly in our grasp. The couple next to us looked a bit nervous as he began preparing their prawns. About five minutes later it was mysteriously gone along with our appetite.
Hope to be back here one day. We've been a bit quiet as 16 Euro for an hour of wi-fi at the hotel seemed a bit of a stretch so we've dropped in to an internet cafe with the customary sticky keyboard.
