Halloween!!! We haven't really done much recently, did a bit more pottering around and look for some possible costume ideas. We ended up me as a bat a Cpm as a skeleton, face painted by me. We stayed in the hostel and had some drinks met some nice English peeps. Then hit wild rover bar for some more drinks and mamma Africa's club again. It was wild and pretty fun. The next day we checked out and literally spend the while day hanging around the hostel as we had a night bus to la Paz at 10pm and had already seen a lot of cusco. We did however try to go to the local cemetery at it was the day of the dead, a national holiday, but turns out it was a day later. And we got a taxi to a local restaurant that did supposedly amazing cuy (Guina pig) but it was closed. Quite annoying. But instead we tried some of this other local thing that have on the day of the dead, pork, pulled from little spit roasted piglet. It was delish. We saw another procession of saintly things again. And then just played cards chatted to our new English friends. Oooh also this morning we bumped into the german guys we met on Lima and hung out with them. Eventually we went to the bus station and got on our next night bus which proved to be not that great as I got my iPod stolen from my bag and Chris got his camera stolen. Other people or their laptop and digital slr stolen. We are pretty sure the bus driver was in on it as he was very unhelpful and apparently a man was let on the bus in the middle of the night. And there was this dodgy child aswell. When we eventually got to the border it took an ageeee to cross but we accidentally went across before without going through the border controls. Illegal. When we eventually got to la Paz in foul moods checked into the hostel and went to the police station. We also bumped into Harmka again which was lovely. Later in the evening after eating and playing cards some more we felt a bit better. And we booked the death road bike tour for Sunday. Woop.
