So the past few days we have been in cusco checking out some more sights and just hanging out and generally resting. Sunday was definitely a day of rest, spent partially in bed and then we pottered down to a market we hadnt been to and had a nice lunch in the market to. The avocados here are delish! We then tried to go to to some circo del horro thing but got there and decided it was a bad idea as we were the only white people and it was dark and the que for tickets was massive. But luckily when we came back we heard some crazy music outside the hostel and found a massive procession going past and into the main plaza. There was lots of people carrying flowers Nd lit candles and a brass band playing kind of bluesy music. Then every now and again a group of men who were carrying a kind of shrine thin put it down and then there were fire works and the police/ambulance/fire engines all put there sirens on. Very odd. We found out it was o do with it win the last Sunday in October a month in which they celebrate the miracle saint and he biggest celebration is on that Sunday. It was pretty interesting to see.
