Day two: we left our bags at the hostel as we weren't going to be able to get to the second hostel due to the blockade. We drove for a while and then stopped at the green lake and the white lake where there were loads of flamingos, 3 different types. They were quite impressive. Got up early for our salt flats tour, had some breakfast and met a lovely olde couple from Newcastle who were traveling for 10 months in their retirement, Norma and Chris. We got up early this morn to see the Irish off and then head out on our la Paz city tour at 8am with the so called Ben. He picked us up from our hostel and then we got another 3 people from the hostel down the road and started the tour. Ben was great! Spoke very good English and knew so much about la Paz it was so so good. He told is all about the history and about the different buildings etc. he was studying tourism at uni in la Paz and did this as a side thing....
