1 1/2 hours sleep up at 1.45 out if the house at 2.31 ... One minute over schedule. Valet parking was marvelous! We even had fast track through security... More like slow track after I had to be thoroughly searched, a combination of bra wires and my necklace set off the alarms! Such a thorough search, too thorough in fact.
The rest of out time at the airport passed with little to comment on.
Until the pilot did his usually pep talk and mentioned there may be some turbulence. Young lad on one of the many hen party's on the plane ... Yes young lad.... Said he wanted to get off the plane... Apparantly worried by turbulence and scared of flying he had done the nervous flyers course and it clearly hadn't worked for him.
Delayed by an hour while he, his companion and baggage were removed from the plane.
Poor fella... Ironically there was no turbulence and a very smooth flight was experienced!
My schedule very much up the chute by now!
Our 1 hour transfer took in a few resorts before we arrived at es Cana... Glad we had the reccomendations because we wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere we had stopped en route.
We are all surprised at the beauty of the island ... Well the coastline... It's beautiful
After check in and a spruce up we headed for our first all inclusive beer ... Drunk 5 minutes later ... Maybe Shoukdnt drink after travel pills!
So drunk I didn't check the translation on the lunch menu and I inadvertently are some tripe. Now I have always said I don't like tripe, when in fact I had never tried it until today. I don't like tripe. I won't make that mistake again.
Es Cana is a lovely little resort ... But seriously what else are we supposed to do apart from eat and drink! Spain was a food and drink marathon last year and I think Ibiza could go the same way!
Parrot show and bingo tonight in our hotel ... Think we might get an early night and wait til tomorrow to sample the entertainment.
Oh did I mention it is hot?! And sunny!
