Lunch was lush ... Fresh salads fresh fish and the dreaded paella...you can see the English sniffing everything, turning their noses up then trying to get some unsuspecting child to sample food which the parents have not name for. We really cannot complain at the variety and quality of the food.
I have been trying to chat this young fella up for the last 24 hours. He is here with his sister and brother in law (I think) every time I speak to him his bloody sister intervenes and drags him away! I can't quite work out his nationality otherwise I would google an appropriate greeting and a suitable rebuff for his sister. Yes you guessed it, this young man was born with Down's syndrome. He really should be on holiday with some people that are more fun ... In fact I'm gonna ask him if he wNts to come clubbing with me!
People from the north of England ... Flights must be cheap from Leeds! And Southend... As there are some suspiciously Norfolk sounding people, Norwich city football shirts kinda giving the game away ... No webbed feet suggests not from Great Yarmouth (no I don't have webbed feet even though I was born there... I don't believe either of my parents were natives)
So we feel kind of outnumbered... But the European divides were well and truly compounded this afternoon by a football match!
The animator (Ollie) has tried very hard to engage people with activities ... Strangely enough he had not once attempted to lure us to the shooting by the dartboard, killer pool or football in the courtyard... Odd that the 'don't even dare speak to us let alone ask us to join in' vibe translates equally well in spannish!
