We left Matlock in a rainstorm, it remained wet all the way down towards Cambridge. Not a good start to the weekend we thought, but as we approached the outskirts of the city, the sun started to come out and we followed the directions to the campsite at Cobham Common. Guillver's World theme entertained the children today. A theme park suitable for the younger children with Rebecca allowed on all but one of the rides. Packed lunches were taken and a good day was had by all. Parking was interesting for the motorhome as it was all on the slopes of the hills with some tight corners and narrow spaces.

The heights of Abraham was todays destination. Collected our stuff together and we drove down to Matlock Bath and stopped at the car park for the Cable Car. The children were looking forward to the cable and were not disappointed. The view from the car was great. We soon arrived at the top and grab some lunch at the Cafe. Having worken up early we proceed to get packed up and drove to the Eureka Museum in Halifax where we spent the day. The kids had a great time pressing buttons and seeing what happened. It was really well set up for children and would be well worth a visit back to it. Having stimulated the brain we jumped back in the motorhome and drove down to Derbyshire and camped up in a Touring park just outside Matlock.

Stayed over night at Liz and Dave's. We spent the morning at a nearby country park and went for a ride on some large scale model railways that operate just up the road from there. We then had an uneventful trip across the Yorkshire moors to a pleasent little Caravan site in a deane near to Halifax
