We stopped in Belavici for an overnight stop before crossing the border into Slovenia. It was a lovely site on the banks on the river with the locals leaping in and swiming. (Claimed water temp 22 deg C). It was a small site with a resturant/bar in the center of it.

We left in the morning and headed up to the Island of Rab and a campsite in a place called San Marino which is just outside Lopar. This site was directly on the beach with a great area where the kids could play. There was a gently sloping sand beach which meant that Rebecca and Adrian could paddle, play and practise swiming in it without thm getting out of there depth. We continued north to an over night stop at a campsite near the town of Novigrad. This was on the shore of an inlet for the sea but the only connection was a narrow channel out of it, which made it an great "lake".

Leaving Orebic we drove to the local ferry which meant we did not have to retrace our steps. The plan was a drive north up the coast to Split where we stopped for a break, the children got down their bikes and rode then around like crazy and Rox got on with some washing. The nice day we went in to Spilt, looked at the market and picked up some food. Had a wander through the Roman palace that still remains there and also picked up some fish from the rather excelle...

We packed up in the morning and paid the bill and began to head up the coast. The drive was very good (excellent road surfaces compared to that of Italy) and headed to a town on a penisula called Orebic. We parked up for the night and went for an explore stoping in a bistro near the harbour for the evening meal.
