Villeneuve was having a market in the morning so we quickly walked down to have a look around and purchase some local produce. Having stocked up we left the site at Avignon and drove up to Orange, taking a trip around the town centre to ensure that there was somewhere to park when we would return to the town to see the Roman Theatre. The campsite was to the north of town (about 30 minutes drive) and we pulled up to find the busiest site we had stopped in so far (and the facilities are also open). It happens also to be a bank holiday weekend in France (Friday to Sunday) and the Dutch had decided on the site (We would later discover that this was indeed where the line of William of Orange and the current Dutch Royal family come from, so we think that the Dutch are just reinvading the area).
We spent all the next day on site as it had lots for the children to do
day on site and we felt having a lazy day. The Mistrel blew hard that day but that did mean that the sun was not burning down as hard as it could have been.
