Went to my favorite London site today - St. Paul's. We got there close to when it opened and went straight for the climb up the dome. Good choice as it wasn't crowded. The climb is a little freaky (but totally safe, Moms!) if you're a bit scared of open areas high up like me. But the views are totally worth it. Even got a pin saying "I did the dome!" Spent another hour or so touring the rest of this beautiful landmark. After, we grabbed sandwiches across the street and ate on the steps of the cathedral. Rob and Luke then left to go on their "football" adventure to a few stadiums and to a Chelsea match (Luke's favorite team). Ellie and I found a really cool modern glass mall behind the St. Paul's where you can take a glass elevator to the top and take in views from the rooftop terrace. Great non-touristy find! (Today's cover picture was taken at the ground floor there.) We finished the afternoon walking across the river on the newer Millennium bridge, kicking around the riverbank on the south side and taking the tube to Harrods - just to window shop and marvel at the outrageous prices! There's a tube strike tomorrow so that should be interesting. Rob can comment on their football adventure in tomorrow's blog.
