Day 3
Breakfast was served later this morning so we all slept in a little. I went for a run through Hyde Park. The weather and scenery were perfect for a run. Our first stop this morning was the National Gallery where we hung out with the likes of Monet, Van Gogh, Rubens and many others. Had "take away" for lunch and ate on the steps of St. Martins in the Field church off Trafalgar Square. We then went west and explored the West End a bit. The kids wanted to stop in the big M and M store. Luke wanted to buy some overpriced M and M's. I told him I would buy him a bag at the next convenience store. He was fine with that. We continued to walk through the West End and checked out Covent Garden. We were all getting tired and wanted to sit down so we took the Tube to the Thames and took a Thames River cruise down to the Tower Bridge. It was a relaxing cruise that gave us a different perspective of London. After the cruise we took the Tube back to our hotel. We had "take away" again and ate it in the little square in front of our hotel. It is called Talbot Square and it is peaceful and quiet. Buckingham Palace tomorrow!
