Back in Tokyo and the sun was shining round the side of our curtain, I slept like a log (didn't wake up in the fire place though). It was only eight o'clock, eleven o'clock in England so I wondered if there would still be any family or friends still online but just Paul was on, I say just Paul because he always seems to be online. Anyway we tidied the room and went out at about nine o'clock. We walked to 'Lawson's' opposite for a cake or something breakfasty, Sarah was about five feet ahead of me going over the crossing, she walked up to the glass door and stood there for around five seconds with her nose about three inches from the glass, I thought what the hell is she doing, she then turned to me with a smile and said 'there not automatic doors are they?' 'ha ha you plank' (five seconds seems longer than it is when you have been very... erm... special). We grabbed a sausage baked roll and split it in two (it was about a foot long) and headed for Ueno - this was ace it had street after street of market stalls selling absolutely everything and every fish you could think of, I really enjoyed looking round. We then visited a park which had a couple of temples but nothing else to do, we walked round a lake and watched a street performer doing acrobatics (very good to be fair to them). We then headed to Roppongi this was a district with some right posh shopping centre's nothing like Meadowhall in Sheffield, we had a look round and obviously bought nothing as this wasn't budgeted for. We contemplated what to have for lunch and scoured the streets before settling on...'Family-Mart' where we bought sandwiches and crisps, we had found 'the spot' to eat lunch before buying it today and headed back to a lovely garden with a man made waterfall and lake, we sat there and watched some devil children throwing leaves into the waterfall from a wooden bridge (the parents did nothing, I can only assume they were chavs) then the park warden came over and I am not sure what he was saying to them but if he had a slipper it would have been wrapped round there little yellow arses. After eating we went back to a shopping centre and the plan was to go up the observation tower, we found it and started to walk toward the lift, until we saw the sign... Tickets for observation tower can be bought (with money) here, we obviously didn't go up it and headed for another observation tower a little walk away. We got about fifty feet from the door when Sarah said 'this is just a tower I don't think we can go up it' I walked under false pretenses, I said 'well I have walked here I am going up it' Sarah did not follow me as I marched into the building, about thirty seconds later I was back outside 'it was just offices' I got some funny looks heading to the lift in my hoodie and trainers. We jumped on the subway back to Ueno and cashed in our 'Pasmo' cards as each held a five hundred Yen deposit, we only had one day left in Tokyo and wouldn't need them anymore. On the way passed a supermarket so we dived in for firstly tea for that evening and both got 'Pot-noodles' then thought we might as well get breakfast to save us going out so got some raisin bread, then we got lunch, bread, ham, mayonaise, crisps and chocolate so we were well stocked up and went back to Smile Inn (our hotel). We resisted until about six o'clock and then ate the pot-noodles and of course watched Jonathan Creek, I sat up a listened to my ipod until about eleven as Sarah slept. The Sugar Hill Gang - Rappers Delight was played and a bit of the Wild Beasts, quite eclectic I am sure. Anyway after fourteen minutes of Rappers Delight I was ready for bed.
