Triacastela to Sarria The Camino ebbs and flows with different 'energy' characteristics each day. Today has been a long, tiring and mellow day, walking along ravines with waterfalls, by rivers and woodland tracks. The 'Wow!' factor came in the late morning when a gap in the hedge provided a spectacular view of the impressive Samos Monastery in the valley floor. Even if you have a companion or are in a group, most people at some point will walk by themselves to follow their own natural walking pace. The Camino gives you a rare chance to reflect on things. I walked by myself today for quite a while and reflected how lucky I am to be fit and healthy enough to have this opportunity. I have a wonderful set of family and friends and today as I walked, I thought of all those other people who are no longer alive who have touched my life. Arrival tonight is at Sarria, which is a sizeable town and a popular Camino location. It is from here that many peregrinos set out as it qualifies them for the Compostela certificate with approximately 115 km to go to Santiago.
