Santa Marinas to Logoso Thunderstorms again this morning provide the soundtrack to today's route to Logoso. The storm clouds are gathered in the hills behind us but we push on, hoping the brighter skies ahead will create a drier days walking. It's full raingear as the rain falls but the walking is gentle along roads with great views of the Galician hills and valleys below as we walk higher. There are a group of eleven young peregrinos who we bump into regularly now. One of them has been walking for 120 days from Germany but is having some knee problems, which is hardly surprising! The route I am following is the Camino Fisterra which is the Galician name for what is also known as Finnis Terra or Finnisterre, all of which mean, the end of the earth. My journey will end there on Monday as I reach the Atlantic coast. Many albergues are now closed and so you need to map out your journey with care to ensure roughly equal distances every day. By now, my ankle lets me know if I have exceeded our agreed mileage! Not far to go now.
