Our stay in Christchurch is short but sweet - we leave tomorrow.
It has been a nice place to stay though. We took some romantic walks through the Botanical Gardens, and strolled along next to the tram. (Not quite hand in hand - Dan wouldn't allow it in public.)
We leave here with less than a week to go in the country, and tomorrow we abandon some of the good friends we have made. That has been one of the best thing about this entire Kiwi Experience - the people. We were stuck with one another for a month solid before we came here, and I think it is fair to say that we stretched one another to the limits! There aren't many couples that spend 24 hours a day with each other, so we were bound to get tested!
But being on the big green bus, surronded by new people, we were both able to have a little time apart, and realise just how much we need each other in the end!!
Some friends we have made here will hopefully be friends for life: we have all shared this experience, and all taken different things away from it, but they have all made it memorable, for one reason or another, and I hope we may have done theirs.
So we will bid farewell to you all over a few pints this evening, but I think what we both want to say is Thanks - for making us laugh, for keeping us sane, and for ultimately reconfirming the love that Dan and I share.
"You're beautiful guys!"
