The new Indiana Jones film comes out this month.
But who needs it when you have got us.
Sure we lack Nazis, archaeology and a whip. But I do have the hat.
Since our walk through Middle Earth we headed to a really small, quaint little place called River Valley. We had to stay in a lodge, which is exactly as it sounds probably - a chalet type building with a roaring fire in the middle of it and great big comfy sofas. We got there at about three in the afternoon, and there was nothing to do there but just sit and get swallowed up by the comfort and glaze of the fire crackling. The best (or worst) thing about the place was the sleeping situation. Most of our bus chose to sleep in the Dorm which was essentially one big bed, and we had to lie in a row next to each other!
It was like Bert and Ernie from 'Sesame Street', but more of us, and there was no hand up by behiind - thankfully.
After we had spent the night and met some new people, we woke up for the reason we headed down to this orgy-promoting chalet - rafting.
White water rafting in fact. It is meant to be the best place to do it in New Zealand, boasting several grade 5 rapids. (For those of you uneducated in the ways of White Water Rafting, Grade 5 is the highest grade of rapid you can physically raft - FACT!) So as we donned our mansize rubber suits again and ventured onto the river in our raft we beagn our slow paddle down the river.
This soon picked up and we went over some pretty good rapids.
Then we were forced to paddle over some slightly more intense rapids.
And then we had no choice but to continue on through the F*** Me rapids.
It was not as hard going as we had hoped though in all truth, and I think the group left a little bit dissapointed it wasn't as testing as we were promised. There were some hairy moments: at one point we all had to cling to one side of the raft to stop it capsizing on a rock in the middle of a run of rapids - but we all made it back unscathed and keen to go again!
We drove South agin after that to the bottom of the North Island, and the capital city, Wellington. We have a day here to explore now, before we get to what is meant to be the most beautiful part of the country - the South Island.
Real Lord of The Rings Country. And don't forget too.
More adventure - I think so.
